April Knight 2013

It seems difficult to believe that we are heading onto another April Knight week.  It seems like yesterday we were starting off the 2012-2013 school year, and what year it has been so far!  There are so many celebrations that we have shared together it would take several pages just to convey the success we have experienced.

I want to highlight just one of those successes.  Last year I sent an email around this time to tell you about how Assumption was moving forward with technology.  Our goal was to provide a laptop computer for every junior and senior next school year.  I asked for your help with making last year one of the most successful April Knights in history.   All of you answered back with your actions and we had one of  the best attendances in the history of April Knight.  Your strong support last year provided us with the opportunity to provide laptops to all of our junior and senior students.  Your dedication made this project happen.

This year we have set our sights on forging ahead with this already successful project by providing computer to all of our freshman and sophomores!  Once again I ask for your help to make this dream become a reality.

There is no better way to move toward our goal than to sell out of April Knight Raffle tickets. Historically, current parents and students have done an amazing job at taking the lead on raffle ticket sales.  If you haven’t sold any tickets yet, please do your best to sell two or three . . . and if you’ve already sold several, then be an overachiever by selling a couple more!

Even though the Early Bird has passed, we are more than happy to accept sold tickets up through the evening of April Knight, or until 1500 tickets are sold, whichever comes first.  Please lend a hand - download a ticket here or contact Susie Foster at fosters@mail.assumption.pvt.k12.ia.us or 563.326.5313 x 281 with questions.

Thank you for your continued support of Assumption High School and I hope to see all of you next Friday night!
